Music plays a major role in my life. Hardly a day of total silence. And hardly a style I don't want to discover.
Music inspires me with my paintings of the series «Echoes of Sound». It is even that the paintings are explicitly created with music. I prefer to listen to very rhythmic jazz, also something wild.
My hands dance on the multi-layer prepared canvas. With a silicone wedge, dynamic traces are created with a very special structure and harmony. From time to time, I'll sweep them all clean in order to start over again. In this case, traces of already dried color remain back – as an echo that echoes.
